stamp verso. Harshe worked primarily in Chicago and in Oakland. He studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Art Students League. He was the director of the Oakland Art Museum in the 1910s. He was a member of the Cliff Dwellers, Chicago Society of Etchers, Palette and Chisel Academy of Fine Artists, and the Renaissance Society (University of Chicago).
