Description

21" wide, signed, dated, and dedicated, "to the Dunlaps with my very highest regards". Davidson studied at the John Herron Art Institute and the Art Institute of Chicago. He exhibited at the Whitney Museum, Art Institute of Chicago, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art, San Francisco Museum of Art, Hoosier Salon (1927-1945) and the Herron Art Institute. His work is in the collections of the Herron Art Institute, Skidmore College, and the Minneapolis Art Institute. He taught at Skidmore College (1933-1946). Davidson won first prize for a sculpture he exhibited at the Hoosier Salon in 1927, titled, "Ideal Head".
