Robert Andrew Riddell (active 1780-1800) - a watercolour on paper, a view of Kilchurn Castle, initialled and dated 1798, 6 1/2 " x 9 1/2 ", mounted and framed. Robert Andrew Riddell was a landscape painter who primarily depicted scenic Scottish views. He exhibited at the R.A. and gave several of his paintings to the poet Robert Burns.
