2 volumes in one, 2o (512 x 372mm). 2-page subscriber's list. Parallel text in French and English. 115 aquatint plates (27 double) by Richardson (some light spotting, pale stains to corners of some plates towards the end, sometimes affecting the plate mark, occasionally crossing the image). Modern half morocco by Bayntun of Bath.

FIRST EDITION. A sequel to Colen Campbell's Vitruvius Britannicus, 1715. "The books of Richardson's own designs are less important than his engravings of the executed works of other late eighteenth-century architects": Harris p.388; Abbey Life 60; Berlin Kat OS2342P.
