Artist or Maker

Notes

Woodman was the son of an engraver. He began his career by colouring engravings of W. Westall's drawings. He was then employed by Wedgwood in 1808, visiting Italy in the same year. He exhibited at the R.A., B.I. and O.C.W.S.. The National Portrait Gallery, London, has a watercolour by him of Charlotte Augusta, Princess of Wales.
