Born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, of German heritage, Richard Peter Hoffman’s paintings embrace the tenets of geometric abstraction and precisionism with the distinctive elements of the Pennsylvania Dutch folk art tradition. Flowers, hearts, fruit and bird motifs are uniquely interpreted in a modernist vein of pattern, form, color and texture.
