Richard Henry Brock (British, exh.1897-1915) Study of a Gloucester Old Spot Pig signed lower right "R H Brock" watercolour 30 x 25cm Provenance: Private collection, Cambridgeshire Richard Henry Brock (exh.1897-1915) was primarily a landscape painter, illustrator and illustrator of boys' annuals. He and his artist brothers lived Cambridge, and Richard Henry Brock exhibited at the Royal Academy eight times. He shared a studio in Cambridge with his brothers - Tom, Dick, Harry and Charles were all artists. They were a quiet and reserved family and modest about their achievements. Richard Brock married a schoolmistress late in life and moved to Hastings and died in 1943.
