Notes

Mednikoff studied at the St. Martin's School of Art, and between 1923-35 he worked in advertising and was invited by Dr. Grace Pailthorpe [see lots 77-78, 80, 82-89] to join psychological-art research at Port Isaac, Cornwall. During the war this research work took him to the USA and Canada. He exhibited at The International Surrealist Exhibition, London and The Fantastic Art, Dada, Surrealism Exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art, New York, both in 1936. He exhibited widely in Britain, at the London Gallery, The Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, and at Northampton. He also exhibited in Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
