Rene Quere (French, b. 1932) Mid Century Modern Oil on canvas "Plozevet", a town in Brittany. Stretcher 14"x8 3/4". In gilt wood frame 19"x13 1/2"x1 1/2". Weight 2 pds 11 oz. PROVENANCE: A Private Paris, France / Charleston SC Estate. Born in Ploaree, France in 1932, Rene Quere studied at the Ecole Quimper des Arts Appliques from 1952 to 1955 and in 1959 studied with Lucien Lautrec. He has had numerous exhibitions and shows throughout Europe. He has also executed murals in eathenware, stone and acrylics in the Quimper Bank and in the town halls of Briec, Plounevez-Lochrist and Douarnenez.
