Two ships in the Italian Line fleet made the year-round trip from Genoa to New York; the Conte di Savoia and the Rex. Although not sister ships, they were similar in appearance and one of them ("the best looking ships ever to wear the colours of the Italian Line" -- Passenger Liners p. 132) is pictured here, in a dramatic, bird's-eye view from behind the Statue of Liberty.
