Rare Photographs by Trager of Wounded Knee Massacre, lot of 4, all titled in the negative Bird's Eye View of Battlefield and Copywright Jan. 1, 1891 by the Northwestern Photographic View Company, and two with their Chadron, Nebraska, imprint on verso. Includes one with George Trager or one of his assistant's with his large view camera; one of a mounted cavalry trooper surrounded by the bodies of fallen Lakota; two of the burial detail and their wagons collecting the dead.
