Lot 24: Ragnar Olson (American, 1884-1949)

Washington Square in Snow Jan. 15, 1945. Oil on canvas, signed at dated at the lower right corner, signed titled and inscribed verso, frame in a gilt frame overall 34" x 29". Ragnar a member of the Society of Independent Artists, started by Glackens and Sloan. He is best known for his Ashcan School, figural cityscapes in New York especially Greenwich Village, the Fulton Fish Market and Washington Square.
