Please contact them or your own choice of shipper directly. *** PROVENANCE: A Charleston SC Private Estate Rafael Alvarez Ortega was born in Cordoba in 1927 . After graduation, he received a grant from the Delegation of Cordova to attend the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando in Madrid, which he studied for 3 years. In 1952 the French government granted him a scholarship to study painting in Paris. Upon his return, he joined the staff at the Royal Academy of Cordoba of Sciences, Fine Arts and Noble Arts. By 1980 his paintings were scattered in 66 cities on five continents and present in the Houston Museum, Chicago, Fort Worth, Philadelphia, Washington, Osaka and the Reina Sofia in Madrid. In 1996 the City of Cordoba named a city street after him.
