In-4°. - Édition originale. Tirage à 621 ex., un des 50 "d'auteur" sur vélin Lafuma "placés sous les patronymes des Néréides" (ex. "Mélitè", paraphé par l'éditeur Pierre Pascal). Pascal (1909-1990), écrivain et iraniste français, fondateur de la revue Eurydice et des éditions du Trident, proche des milieux royalistes et du régime de Vichy, fut condamné par contumace et s'exila à Rome. - Envoi aut. paraphé à Paul Dresse "avec tous les remerciements & toutes les excuses dont j'ai le droit de le combler". Enrichi de : 2 l.a.s. quasi illisibles, env. cons. (A. à un "cher confrère", à propos d'une lettre du dramaturge et critique littéraire Marcel Thiébaut (1897-1961), 2 pp. in-12, s.d.; B. à propos d'un article et d'une lettre auxquels il a été sensible, du poète Jean Moréas, etc., 4 pp. in-12, Paris 18-6-1935 (?).-- 1 télégramme à Paul Dresse, Martigue 9-8-1938, env. cons. : proposition de déjeuner.-- 3 photogr. originales n/b, figurant Maurras en Provence, aux fêtes de Mistral selon une note.-- 2 croquis signés Jacques Ochs, ± 16 x 15 cm, figurant Mistral lors du procès de l'anarchiste Germaine Breton, suite au meurtre en 1923 du secrétaire de la Ligue d'Action Française, Marius Plateau alors qu'elle visait à assassiner Maurras ou Daudet. Ces dessins auraient parus dans "Le Journal des Débats" selon une note.-- 1 bifolio de la revue "Eurydice", 34e cahier, 1939, 4 pp., et 2 coupures de presse. - Prov. Paul Dresse de Lébioles (1901-1987), romancier et poète, critique littéraire belge, grand ami de Marcel Thiry, Maeterlinck, Daudet et Maurras (dédicace).

Auction - Terms of sale

The purchaser shall pay, strictly cash, the hammer price, in €, together with a premium of 25 %, eventually plus the resale tax, if applicable: 4 % for hammer prices from € 2000 on, only for original art and if the author died less than 70 years ago.
The auction follows the order indicated by the catalogue. The biddings start at about 80 % of the lowest estimate and each bid must be +/? 10% higher than the previous one. In case of a dispute the lot will be called again.
The auctioneer has the right to refuse a bid, and this without further explanation.
Each buyer by making a bid acknowledges the conditions of sale and the fact that he has inspected the purchased item.
The auctioneer has the right to split a lot or join several lots.
Lots with two or more titles, series or periodicals, or lots with a mention "n.c." and 'sold w.a.f.'are not collated and cannot be returned.
Each buyer is supposed to buy for his own account and cannot claim any commission. Each bidder should inspect the lots during the exhibition. Under no circumstances can an item, once sold, be returned. For lots bought via a bidding order remarks or complaints, also concerning the authenticity of the items, should be formulated within 2 weeks after the auction. After that delay no item can be returned.
