Lot 209: QIAN DONG: DAFFODILS, CHRYSANTHEMUMS, BERRIES AND SNOW

Painting with colours and ink on paper. China, dated 1817
Particularly beautiful and masterful paintwork, portraying the atmosphere of a grey day early in the year with freshly fallen snow on delicate flowers and berries. Two different groups of characters, one group in large character, the other is very finely written, both end with red seals.
