CATALOGUE NOTE

As a son of Cornelis Janssens van Ceulen the Elder (1593-1661), Cornelis the Younger partly lived on his fathers fame as a much sought-after portraitist. Certainly in the 1660s, shortly after his father's death, the authorship of the two is difficult to distinguish.
