NOTES 'Prodosh distorted figures and made them massive and voluminous, giving [them] a clear and strong three-dimensional identity. In the late 1940's he entered a new phase with the concept of 'organism' and distinguished himself as an original sculptor. The traditional way of clay modeling was revived but skilfully amended to suit modern expression. The figures are rendered emphasizing the rhythm of volume rather than following the realistic anatomy of the human body. The forms are accentuated by pushing forces and finds antecedents in Indian traditional sculpture.' (J.J.
