Description

A reclining bronze lion on a marble base with inscription. The artist's signature on the plinth. With an inscription on the front commemorating a visit by the Prince Regent to the Munich Institute of Technology in 1905. Dimensions 20 x 17 x 7 cm. Georg Albertshofer (1864 - 1933) was a professor at the Munich Academy and created famous sculptures and statues. The bronze figure was a gift to the Bavarian royal house. Direct from the possessions of the Bavarian ruling family.
