Notes

rare. the dedication copy inscribed: "To the Right Honourable Sir Gore Ouseley Bart. with the Author's humble respects".

William Price was appointed Assistant Secretary and interpreter to Sir Gore Ouseley, British Ambassador to Persia in 1811-1812. The text consists of an account of his travels through Madiera, Ceylon, Bombay and the Persian Gulf to Isfahan. There is also a section on Armenian grammar.
