Condition A: minor restoration along left edge.
A brown frieze of a man on horseback, against a marble-colored background, effectively evokes the ancient traditions of the games while conveying to a modern audience the nature of the event. The 1956 Olympic equestrian events were held in Stockholm rather than in the host country of Australia due to an animal quarantine. Printed in only four languages, this is the French version. Olympics p. 67.
