Notes

Comparable to a small drawing of Prophets and Sibyls in the Louvre (inv. 5664, C.E. Cohen, The drawings of Giovanni Antonio Pordenone, Florence, 1980, fig. 147) and to a group of compositions of similar size in an album exhibited at Edinburgh, Merchants' Hall, Italian 16th Century Drawings from British Private Collections, 1969, no. 68. Many of these drawings are, like the present drawing, octagonal.
