Polly Hoffman (1890-1949), "Texas Bluebonnets" oil on canvas laid on board. Board: 18"H x 20"W; Frame: 23.25"H x 25"W. Signed lower right, "Polly Hoffman"; signed and titled verso. Hoffman was born in Bryan, TX and graduated from the Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY in 1914. She studied under Xavier Gonzalez and Adele Brunet. She exhibited at multiple shows across the state including the Southern States Art League Annual Exhibitions and The Texas Centennial Exposition, 1936. Her artwork is now in many private collections including the Wichita Falls Museum and Art Center.
