Lambert 1776 7 vol. in-8° : portrait-[4]-xv-[1 bl.]-158-[2]-379-[5], [4]-573-[1], [4]-544, [4]-599, [4]- 576, [4]-576, [4]-551 pp. (rousseurs marg., rel. plus nombreuses aux vol. IV-V, très pâles mouill. marg. aux vol. IV-VII, qqs taches marg. au vol. I, déch. marg. au vol. I p. 87 et avec pet. manque au vol. II p. 415). Maroquin rouge à grain long de l'ép., plats cernés d'un filet et de roulettes (une aux palmettes) dorés, dos lisses ornés dorés, gardes de papier bleu moucheté, tr. dorées (qqs lég. us.). Édition collective la plus complète donnée par Jean-Antoine Rigoley de Juvigny (1709-1788), illustrée d'un beau portrait-frontisp. de Piron par Aug. de Saint-Aubin d'après un buste de Caffieri. Contient une vie de Piron (1689-1773), ses oeuvres théâtrales, comédies, tragédies ou opéras-comiques (t. I-V) et les épitres, odes, poèmes, contes, épigrammes, lettres... (t. VI-VII). S'il connut un réel succès au XVIIIe s., Piron reste plus connu pour ses épigrammes dont certaines contre Voltaire. Reliure "dans le genre de Bozérian ou plus précisement dans celui de Gaudreau qui travaillait rue de la Harpe (celle de l'éditeur) dès 1798" (cfr note ms. sur carton volant). Réf. Auction - Terms of sale

The purchaser shall pay, strictly cash, the hammer price, in €, together with a premium of 25 %, eventually plus the resale tax, if applicable: 4 % for hammer prices from € 2000 on, only for original art and if the author died less than 70 years ago.
The auction follows the order indicated by the catalogue. The biddings start at about 80 % of the lowest estimate and each bid must be +/? 10% higher than the previous one. In case of a dispute the lot will be called again.
The auctioneer has the right to refuse a bid, and this without further explanation.
Each buyer by making a bid acknowledges the conditions of sale and the fact that he has inspected the purchased item.
The auctioneer has the right to split a lot or join several lots.
Lots with two or more titles, series or periodicals, or lots with a mention "n.c." and 'sold w.a.f.'are not collated and cannot be returned.
Each buyer is supposed to buy for his own account and cannot claim any commission. Each bidder should inspect the lots during the exhibition. Under no circumstances can an item, once sold, be returned. For lots bought via a bidding order remarks or complaints, also concerning the authenticity of the items, should be formulated within 2 weeks after the auction. After that delay no item can be returned.
