Condition Report

Overall the condition of the bust is good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There are a few naturally occurring inclusions to the marble, notably on the forehead, chin, the drapery on the proper left side, to the inscription, and to the back of the head; some of the inclusions are filled. There are a few orange stains due to inclusions, notably to the hair on the proper left side of the top of the head and to the back of the head. There are a few chips and abrasions to the edges and corners of the truncation. There are two very slightly open veins, consistent with the material, to the hair at the back of the head.
