Purchased in April 1935.

Notes

A drawing with two variants of the same composition, recto and verso, was sold in these Rooms, 28 March 1979, lot 207. The positions of the Virgin and the High Priest are reversed in the other compositions, but the angel with a censer is found in all three.

No VAT will be charged on the hammer price, but VAT at 17.5% will be added to the buyer's premium which is invoiced on a VAT inclusive basis.
