PHOTOGRAPHS OF YELLOWSTONE PARK AND YOSEMITE. TABER, ISAIAH WEST. 1830-1912; AND CARLETON WATKINS. 1829-1916. A collection of 16 albumen prints of Yellowstone Park and Yosemite, various sizes, maximum 210 x 165 mm, all mounted on gray boards, [San Francisco: printed c.1890], most titled at lower right in red ink. A few with edges of boards chipped. An attractive group of images of the two most important National Parks in the Rockies, at least 12 of the views derived from the stock of Carleton Watkins, which Taber purchased from Watkins’ creditor John Cook around 1875. The images include Old faithful, Golden Gate, Devils Well and Liberty Cap.
