Notes

Fedor Bulgakov records a series of works executed by Petr Petrovich Vereshchagin in 1877 following the route of the mining railway through the Urals, including the metallurgical factory at Verkh-Neivinsky, not far from his native city of Perm. In this delightfully detailed landscape one can just make out the steam train on the left-hand side.
