PAUR Jaroslav (*25. 7. 1918 Kladno) Early evening Mixed media on cardboard, 47 x 64 cm, framed, glazed, undated, signed lower right. Czech painter of landscapes and Prague motifs, he studied at the Ukrainian Academy in Prague and under J. Obrovsky at the Academy in Prague. His work reflects the influence of the group Skupina 42. His chief theme was Prague and the stylization of its picture on the brink of abstraction. See T 2/251, 2/776, TD 143, B 8/171.
