Paul Ygartua 1945 - Canadian oil on plexiglass Untitled
35 1/2 x 48 inches 90.2 x 121.9 centimeters signed Provenance:Private Collection, Vancouver Paul Ygartua was born near Liverpool, and attended the Liverpool Art College in the early 1960s when John Lennon was studying there. He is known for his large murals in Chemainus, BC and at the United Nations Pavilion during Expo 86 in Vancouver, which depicted peoples of the world. His most recent direction is in abstraction, as seen in this vibrant work. The prolific Ygartua has exhibitions this year in Paris, Versailles, Monte Carlo, Grenoble and at the Direct Energy Centre in Toronto.
