Since 1997, the artist has hosted collage parties at galleries across Canada. From 2001 to 2011, Butler was director of the Other Gallery, and he has also served as a curator of contemporary art at the Winnipeg Art Gallery. His work can be found in the collections of the Art Gallery of Ontario, TD Bank, Bank of Montreal, Royal Bank of Canada, Gallery One One One at the University of Manitoba, the Winnipeg Art Gallery, the Morris and Helen Belkin Art Gallery, the University of British Columbia and the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia. A solo show, “Semiotics Aside,” was mounted by Division Gallery in Toronto in 2016. Estimate: $3,100–3,600
