A well presented small archive concerning Patrick McDonnell of Crumlin (Dublin), an anti-Treaty I.R.A. prisoner, including about ten autograph signed letters to his mother from 'Tintown' [Curragh] and Mountjoy Jail, 1923-24, some on prison notepaper, some with associated envelopes, some mentioning other prisoners; with a TLS from the Military Governor at Mountjoy Military Prison, 28 February 1923, to Mrs. McDonnell, indicating that 'your son Patrick is now in my custody and quite well', also a telegram from the Curragh, 1923, indicating McDonnell is 'off hunger strike', signed Governor; also two printed lists of Republican prisoners, one including McDonnell; military service pension documents relating to McDonnell; and a few other documents of Republican interest.
