Viacheslav Pakulin's intense, expressively dynamic industrial workrelates to the artist's most vibrant period during his collaborationwith the Krug society. The distinguishing features of Pakulin'swork in these years were his search for new compositional formsand individual figurative expression, based on splashes of colourand flowing contours. One of the most multi-faceted and interesting Leningrad painters of the 1930s, Viacheslav Pakulin had anotable impact on pre-war Soviet art.
