Painting by Soulacroix, (Joseph Frederic Charles Soulacroix, French, 1825-1879 (or 1900) or Frederic Soulacroix, 1858-1933), portrait of lady in interior wearing satin gown and resting her hand on Empire planter, signed lower right "F Soulacroix/1886 Florence," oil on canvas, 1-3/4" tear at bottom edge, 3/4" tear with abrasion upper left, 2" tear at center, other small tears, restretched, abrasions, 23-1/2 x 13-3/8", 19th century gilt wood and composition baroque style frame (Note: There are conflicting dates for the death of Charles Soulacroix and conflicting signature attributions for Charles and Frederic Soulacroix).
