Description

Original Vintage French Alcohol Poster for "Liqueur Hanappier" by Henri Guydo ca. 1900, Good. B to B+. Borders need restoration, Linen backed, 50.8X37.8 inches. A beautiful advertising poster for the "Liqueur Hanappier", realized by Henri Guydo ca. 1900. A young woman in a gown is serving a glass of this tasty liqueur to her loved one, before he hits the road on his horse. Joseph Robert Guillaume Le Barrois Orgeval, born April 22, 18681 at Teilleul in Manche2, takes Guydo pseudonym in 1888 when Paul asked him to illustrate Dolffus with other artists of his book Models (ed. Marpon & Flammarion). Subsequently, he also signs GO and sometimes Henri Guydo. He begins by contributing as satirical cartoonist for magazines such as Gil Blas, Le Triboulet, I know all or even the Journal for all. In 1892, he shared the artistic direction of Laughter and New Voices, collaboration that lasted until the 1920s to the world of the press, he was a tireless draftsman: forty published the periodical between 1890 and 1930. His posters show first an Art Nouveau as Amara Blanqui (1893), Eden Casino Trouville-sur-Mer, Aimee Eymard, Liquor Hanappier, Calendar Blotter Good market.3 ... In 1905, he began a collaboration with La Semaine de Suzette which was to last until his death, during which he illustrated twenty books in the series "The Library of Suzette". In 1907, he published the humorous album The Tribulations of a blue dunce (ed. Delagrave). From 1911, he exhibited his paintings at the Salon of independent artists but also comedians Fair. Authors like Guy de Téramond, Pierre de Lano, Albert Lavignac, Jean Drault, Delly, Germaine Verdat, Rodolphe and Leon Bringer Valbert appealed to his drawing skills. He has illustrated nearly forty books for youth or popular novels. (Wiki)

Terms and Conditions of Sale

In these conditions the words 'Perry's' ,'Auctioneer' or 'Auctioneers' means 'Perry's Auctioneers'.

A 19% Buyers Premium applies to all lots sold.

The amount of a winning offer shall be paid to Perry's by the Buyer, together with the commission of 19% of the Hammer Price ( the Commission ) and Israeli VAT on commission.

An item which is priced in US dollars will be calculated in New Israel Shekels in accordance with the prevailing rate of exchange cash sale as published by the Bank of Israel on the date of the payment (` the Dollar Exchange Rate` ), but not less than the exchange rate on the day of auction.

Payment to Perry's Auctioneers shall be effected immediately upon the conclusion of the auction but, at any event, not later than five business days after the date of the acceptance of the offer by the Buyer.

A Buyer is liable to pay interest on any delay in payment, at the rate of 5% per month of the amount payable, with adjustments to index-link all outstanding amounts payable to the Dollar Exchange Rate. Interest is payable from the date payment became due up to the date of actual payment plus Israeli VAT for Israeli buyers.

Should the Buyer fail to pay the hammer price and\or Commission and\or the Vat, Perry's will be entitled to act as it deems fit to preserve the rights of the Seller, including retention of the acquired item, forfeiture and set off any amounts payable.

The highest bidder shall be the buyer. In the event of a dispute arising, at the auctioneer's discretion, the lot shall be put up again and resold, the auctioneer's decision being final.

All lots are open for inspection prior to the sale, and are sold with all faults, if any - explicitly stated. No error or misdescription shall invalidate the sale and the buyer is bound to take delivery of the goods without allowance or reduction in price.

The auctioneers reserve the right to accept or refuse any bid or bids without having to state any reason or reasons therefore, and to bid on behalf of the vendor or any prospective buyer with or without disclosure.

All goods lie at the buyers risk after the fall of the hammer - all due care shall be taken by our staff but we are not accountable for any damage or loss which may arise thereafter.

Upon payment of an invoice, goods may be delivered. All goods must be paid for and picked up by the buyer or have organized shipping.

TERMS: Prompt payment for goods by Cash, Paypal or Credit Card.?Mastercard, Visa, AMEX credit and debit cards only (4% surcharge), Paypal payments (4% surcharge) All lots purchased are to be paid for before delivery of any one or more lots.

In the event of non-compliance with any of the above terms and conditions, any monies paid by the buyer shall be absolutely forfeited, and the goods may be resold, through auction or by any other means, without notification, at the risk and expense of the former buyer. The buyer shall be liable for any loss that may arise on such resale.

This auction is the first Internet sale Parry's is conducting, Parry's will not be liable in any way for any communication problems, disconnections, slow response or any other technical faults.

The courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Israel, shall have the sole jurisdiction in any dispute between Perry's Auctioneers and the Buyer or any potential Buyer, based on the details of this agreement and\or related to the sale and\or to the transfer of any item.

Israeli VAT (in Israel only)

The amount of a winning offer shall be paid to Perry's by the Buyer, together with the commission of 19% of the Hammer Price ( the Commission) and Israeli VAT on commission.

19% Buyers Premium

A 19% Buyers Premium applies to all lots sold.

Credit Cards & PayPal Processing Fee

Buyers are charged a 4% processing fee on credit cards and PayPal payments. </br></br>

The fee will show up as a separate item on your invoice and payment receipt. The fee is calculated as a percentage on top of the payment you are making. For example, if you make a payment of $1,000, Perry's Auctioneers will charge an additional $40 fee for processing the payment.
