Lot 191: ORIGINAL OIL ON CANVAS SIGNED WILLETTA ELLER (AMERICAN 1923-2015) LISTED IDAHO ARTIST- "WINTER LANDSCAPE" 15 ½” x 19 ½”

In excellent condition. All original piece. It is oil on canvas with palette knife strokes. The canvas measures 24"x18". 15 ½” x 19 ½” framed. The beautiful winter landscape measures 11 ½ H x 15 ½ W. The frame does have minor wear and someone put some numbers on the frame- see pictures. It is signed and has the artist card on the back. Willetta Cecelia Eller was born July 11, 1923, at Fenn, Idaho and passed away Friday, July 24, 2015, in Lewiston, at the age of 92. Willetta and Dale lived in the Grangeville-Winona area until February 1945, when they moved to Nezperce. Willetta worked as a waitress and maid at the Nezperce Hotel and then she became a telephone operator. In 1957, she went to work at the Lewis County Assessor's Office, becoming deputy assessor in 1967. In 1974, she was elected Lewis County treasurer and retired from that position in July of 1985. Willetta had an incredible passion for art and was well-known for her oil paintings, watercolors, calligraphy and multitudes of other artistic media. She was a member of several art associations, including the Prairie Art Association.
