Lot 95: OOC 3-Mast Schooner Bessie Beach SFM Badger

OOC - Portrait of Three-Mast Coastal Schooner 'Bessie C. Beach' by S.F.M. Badger (MA, 1873-1919), signed verso and with 5 Trenton Street, Charlestown address, she is depicted underway with Highland Light and Signal Station, Cape Cod in background, she was built in New Haven in 1880, wrecked on Fire Island in 1912, letters verso indicate this was exhibited at the Philadelphia Maritime Museum in 1988, in replica gilt frame, SS: 20 1/2" x 34 1/2", OS: 25 1/2" x 39 1/2", very good, untouched condition, one small puncture in aft sail.
