* Okyo (Maruyama, 1733-1795). Dragon in the Clouds, c. 1770s, pen, ink and monochrome wash on thin japan tissue, each sheet composed of several conjoined sheets, signed by the artist Okyo, overall size 122.5 x 44 cm (48 x 17.5 ins). A hanging scroll or possibly a panel for a screen or sliding door. Maruyama Okyo was one of the most influential artists in the Edo period.
