Oil Painting: Philip Richard Morris A.R.A. (1838-1902) "Changing Pastures" Signed, inscribed with the title and the artist's name on a plaque attached to the original frame, also indistinctly inscribed verso, possibly in the artist's own hand, oil on canvas, 138.5cm by 92cm Born at Devonport, he entered the Royal Academy Schools in 1855, winning two silver and a gold medal in 1858 for his biblical picture entitled "The Good Samaritan". He was awarded a travelling studentship visiting France and Italy. Retired as a Royal Academician in 1900. See illustration
