In his painting he depicted Indians, Colorado landscapes, scouting, bears, camping, etc. “Lady with Mandolin” is very rare and unusual painting, dedicated to his French friend - artist St. Pierre. Inscribed in the left lower corner: “C.S. Stobie 1891, apres Saint Pierre” Size of the stretcher: 24 inches x 18 inches = 60 x 45 cm; Saint Pierre = Gaston Casimir (1833-1916).
