Lot 4536: ÖSTERREICH KAISERHAUS - Duchess Sophie von Hohenberg (1868 - 1914),

a signed gift photograph of Kaiser Wilhelm II, 1913. Large-sized half-length portrait of the Kaiser in the uniform of the huntsman-in-chief of the Reich. The date and place "Konopischt Oktober 1913" handwritten in ink on the upper left, the lower right signed "Dein treu ergebener Wilhelm I.R." ("Devotedly yours, Wilhelm I.R."), the mount with another signature of the Kaiser "My dearest friend Sophie Hohenberg with cordial thanks for the warm reception". Under glass and in a wooden frame with beautiful gilt brass fittings surmounted by an imperial crown. Framed and embellished with paper blossoms (edelweiss, violets) added by the Imperial Countess Elvira Wrbna, the verso with a corresponding label and a picture of the Kaiser hunting in Konopischt 1913 and a picture postcard of the Kaiser in hunting dress, respectively.
