The present lot illustrated the poem by the artist:
The rain came pouring down one day,
And spoilt the games we planned;
And so we said that we would sail away
To seek a foreign land.

The bath upon the nursery floor
Became our boat, and we
Sailed far away from this dull rainy shore,
Across a sunlit sea.

And soon, although the waves ran high,
Afar we spied a land,
With golden castles climbing to the sky
Up from the golden strand.

Alas! I tumbled over then,
Before we reached that shore;
And that fair land-how soon it vanished when
My head bumped on the floor!
