Condition Details: To the unaided eye, the piece appears to be in fair condition. In the upper left corner, there is severe stretching in the canvas which caused the weave of the canvas to stretch and fall apart. There is missing pigment, and exposed canvas in this area extending about 4 inches down, by about 1/8 inches wide. There is also some craquelure in the pigments of the painted background, extending along the whole left side of the piece. Under ultraviolet light there is a normal florescence of artist's pigments. The piece is framed in a silver frame. The frame is in very good condition. Verso, written on the back of the canvas in the artist's hand (in Russian): [Artists name] [Title] x.m. 50 x 40 1995. The piece is accompanied by a complete issue of the magazine Art Talk, June/July 2004, in which this piece is featured on the cover and mentioned on pages 39 and 40.
