NOTES The authenticity of the present picture has been confirmed by Drs Ineke Wansink of the RKD, on the basis of a photograph. To be compared with the picture in the Narodni Galerie, Prague (L. de Vries, Diamante Gedenkzuilen en leerzaeme Voorbeelden, 1990. p.117, fig.32).
