The Madonna and Child with the Infant Saint John the Baptist oil on canvas 291/4 x 24 in. (74.3 x 61 cm.) NOTES We are grateful to Dr. Francesca Baldassari for suggesting the attribution to Tornioli on the basis of a photograph (private communication, 27 June 2002). Dr. Baldassari notes the similarity between the Madonna in the present work and the female figure on the right in the artist's Astronomers (Galleria Spada, Rome).
