Notes

Augusta was the daughter of Augustus Frederick Hanover, Duke of Sussex and Augusta (d'Ameland) Murray, whom he had married illegally in 1793. This marriage had been declared null and void by the time of the birth of their first child, Augustus, in 1794. Both children adopted the surname "d'Este". Augusta d'Este, married in 1845, Thomas Wilde, 1st Baron Truro of Bowes (1782-1855).
