Description

Mary Deverill, later Mrs Deshon, wearing white dress with puff sleeves topped with ribbon bows and tied waistband, lace trimmed slip, fur stole, floral corsage, double strand pearl necklace with jewelled pendant and further strands of pearls in her upswept blonde hair worn in ringlets.
Signed on the reverse and dated Miss Deverill/ by Maria Chalon/ 1835, ormolu frame with scrolling floral motif.
