Mick Magani (Australian Aboriginal, 1920-1984): "Gadji Djinay". Painting with natural pigments on bark panel (possibly eucalyptus), attached to masonite panel with ink name and title on verso. Wired for hanging. Approx. 29" x 17". The artist is from the Central Arnhem Land, Northern Territory. His work is in the permanent collection of the National Gallery of Australia and the Kluge-Ruhe Aboriginal Art Collection.: Overall surface grime and yellowed varnish with material loss at edges with separations in bark.
