Caladh Dubhac, Achill (inscribed on reverse with a sketch outline). This translates as The Sandy Pier, Achill, as Achill Irish translates slightly differently, ...'Dubh' is 'sandy' in this instance, animate and inanimate colours have different form in Irish...'Liath' is grey, except in nature when it means green, 'glas' is green animate, 'uaithne' inanimate, and then some local changes.
