Condition Report

The frame was not opened due to the fragile nature of pastel and because the front of the sheet is fully visible. It appears to be one sheet of paper, not joined sheets. There is no sign of transfer of any pastel to the plexiglass glazing. The sheet would appear to be hinged to the backing at 6 or 7 places along the top edge of the reverse, and probably also in two places on each side. Could not see enough to say for sure if the sheet is affixed at all along the bottom,but is does not appear so. There is gentle, subtle rippling to the paper due to the hinging method. The frame is blonde wood with dovetailed corners. A framer's label on the backing states that the plexiglass is UV filtering and that the mounting is acid free.
