N.B. Michael Le Grand is a sculptor and Emeritus Fellow at the Australian National University in Canberra. The artist writes that Warp was part of a series utilizing flat steel bars, rolled, heated, and folded and then utilized in combination with LPG pressure cylinder tank ends. The sculptures were painted with automotive paints. The designs were intended to be light and airy, with the emphasis on drawing in space, along with the active relationship of the various elements.
